Hello ,
I’m Juliet

A chatty mediter-stralian, spa enthusiast bringing big feelings to the small screen.

Over the past decade my work of illustration, and soft sculpture has featured in shows throughout some of Melbourne's most prestigious arts institutions. Such as NGV International & Gertrude Glasshouse.
Since expanding into the moving image in, I’ve developed a commercial practice collaborating with community organisations, film makers, and other creatives on short form animation centering First Nations, feminist and LGBTIA+ stories.
Outside of studio practice, I teach Mixed Media Animation at RMIT University, as well as Motion Graphics at COLLARTS and am a Facilitating Artist within Footscray Community Arts, ArtLife. Supporting Artists within the d/Deaf & disabled community in Digital Arts & Arts Industry.
Mission
I’m dedicated to eradicating Australian cultural cringe by creating high-caliber work, showcasing the unique stories of the Oceania region, and actively sparking conversation about our locally produced media.
Values
Art and media are powerful tools that can help us better understand each other and ourselves.
My core values are connection, creativity, empathy, knowledge, and community.
Vision
Is to cultivate a thriving industry for digital creatives throughout the Asia-Pacific. One that is inclusive of a diverse range of voices and fosters collaboration between traditional art methods and emerging technology.
Acknowledgement & Commitment
I acknowledge all of Australia as First Peoples countries. Paying my respects to the Wurundjeri and Boi Wurung people of the Kulin Nation as custodians of the land & waterways that sustain me.
I extend that respect to all Elders: past & present. As a settler benefiting from stolen land I commit to honouring and respecting this land as well as First Peoples throughout all of so-called Australia.
As an animator, I’ve had the privilege of working on several First Peoples lead projects focusing on preserving indigenous stories and culture. As of July 2024, I commit to donating 1% of my annual revenue to pay the rent.
An initiative that contributes funds directly to grassroots causes & campaigns with a focus on protecting First Nations rights, & offering practical support.
